This is the official guide for making your own "AVIFUR"!What's an AVIFUR?
It's an open fursona species created by masochistfox/mortisfox in 2018 and developed into a true species with the help of my husband bileshroom!
It's a digital species of anthro characters that you can have a lot of fun with!AVIFUR= Avatar+fursona

Make Your Own

Here's some basics for creating your own AVIFUR!Anyone is welcome to make one!

They can be ANY animal/combo of animal!They have a pixel effect that surrounds them at all times, trails behind them when they move and lingers a little before fading away!They are usually music themed (I.E Vaporwave, Nightcore, etc), but have been known to be general computer themed! (I.E Lovecore, CARTOONS, etc)They have a song that plays when they're nearby and it gets louder the closer they get! (I.E Vaporwave the Fox has MACINTOSH PLUS playing in his general aura and Nightcore the Tabby has "Nightcore - Rockefeller Street" in his aura.)They never have brown or natural/muted color palettes! A muted color palette on an AVIFUR means theyre unhappy or sick! Have fun with bright colors!

They ALL have this neat little power button symbol on their body somewhere! It's most commonly on the back, but can be placed somewhere else on the body! Some rare places include the neck, arms or legs! Have fun with it!

All AVIFURS wear a collar of some sort! Can be a classic collar, harness, Leg cuff, Bracelet, etc!
The accessory MUST have some kind of glowing element! This can change in color or make little sounds to signify certain emotions! (I.E nightcores spikes, CARTOON's yoke rings and Vaporwave's bell!)All AVIFURS have purple/pink pupils! (Hex code is #ff00ff)
Some viruses can mess with their source code and alternate their pupil color with their iris color, but the purple is always there! (like Nightcore's inverted eyes!)Their eye white's are also almost always blue! (hex code #a9faff) They can be different if they're glitched or infected with a virus though!

All AVIFURS are connected to a human controller! Think of the AVIFUR as this character's digital persona! They use their AVIFUR to log online and interact with others! (kind of like VRCHAT but with much more capabilities and it's like theyre REALLY there!)An AVIFUR and their irl human counterpart can be VERY similar or nothing alike! An AVIFUR is just an extension of themselves or who they want to be!

An AVIFUR's saturation and pattern is directly connected to their moods! If the AVIFUR is unhappy, their colors will become grey and muted and their pattern will fade away! :(
Please try to keep them happy! (unless you really want a grey AVIFUR! That's cool too!)

All AVIFUR's have a pattern of some kind! Can be as simple as stripes (like Nightcore) or more fun like Vaporwave's confetti pattern or CARTOON's music note pattern!
Try not to make the more complicated patterns too similar to each other though if possible! A pattern on an AVIFUR is very important to them!They almost never have normal teeth/tongue colors! Go crazy with it! They can also change colors!Thats the basics! If you make one, I'd LOVE to see it! Consider adding it to the tag #AVIFURS or #AVIFUR!There's no limit to how many can be made and you can sell them as adopts if you like! just make sure to link back to the guide since they are a newer species!Most important, have fun with it!
